Overview
Fixed Term, Part time till 30 June 2027 | Location: Murray Bridge. Collaborative and client focused teams | supportive leadership. SCHADS L5 $51 per hour + super + PBI salary packaging.
Your New Role
Provide early intervention support to vulnerable families with children and young people aged 0-18 years who are showing early signs of, or are at risk of developing, mental health concerns. Provide outreach services to the Murray, Mid Murray, Coorong, and Mallee regions.
Job Responsibilities
* Provide one on one counselling for young people and their families.
* Plan and facilitate therapeutic group work sessions in schools.
* Maintain accurate client records in the electronic client management system.
* Work in partnership with clients and families to develop Family Action Plans.
* Build strong networks and referral pathways to connect families with support services.

What you need to bring
Essential
* Degree in Social Work or a related discipline
* Experience working with vulnerable families with children and young people who are showing early signs of, or are at risk of developing, mental health concerns
* Available and able to work outside of standard hours when required.
Desirable
* Experience delivering therapeutic interventions including one on one and group work
* Experience in mental health promotion/education and community development activities
* Experience working in regional areas
* Experience working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and Culturally and Linguistically Diverse people
* Experience using Penelope client records management software
