Job Overview
The Lifestyle and Community Coordinator role is responsible for overseeing the delivery of person-centered leisure and lifestyle programs in a residential setting. This involves managing a team of recreational activity officers who promote emotional and physical rehabilitation through person-centered activities that foster holistic wellbeing.
Key Responsibilities
* Oversee the delivery of person-centered leisure and lifestyle programs
* Manage a team of recreational activity officers
* Provide residents with quality care and support to maintain their skill levels, independence, and mobility
* Work collaboratively with other team members to plan and organize recreational activities
* Ensure individual resident needs, values, spiritual, and cultural preferences are considered when providing care
* Complete documented assessments to determine capabilities, needs, and problems
* Comply with infection control and work health and safety standards
Requirements
* Cert IV in Leisure and Lifestyle (desirable)
* Degree-level qualifications highly regarded
* Previous experience in a similar role
* Senior First Aid Certificate essential
* Previous experience caring for the elderly within an aged or community care setting
* Highly developed organizational and time management skills
* Able to solve problems independently
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Understanding of Resident Rights, Aged Care Accreditation Standards, and Outcomes
