We are working with our client to find an experienced Payroll Officer to join their busy team on a temporary full time basis. This position is available for an immediate start, paying $41.78ph + super and is located in Tweed Heads, 2485.
**The Role**
To ensure the efficient and accurate processing of our client's payroll and the administration of applicable payroll and systems in accordance with legislative requirements.
**Your responsibilities will include**:
- Ensure timely and accurate processing of the fortnightly payroll for all staff in accordance with current awards, contracts and company policies and procedures
- Respond to and resolve payroll enquiries in an accurate, courteous, confidential and timely manner
- High volume of data entry with robust attention to detail
- Coding of timesheets, processing and filing of fortnightly payroll
- Calculate and process payroll adjustments and manual payments
- Process monthly Superannuation
- Maintain employee records/personnel files on payroll related matters
**Essential skills, experience and knowledge**:
- Previous experience in a high volume payroll position using a large ERP system.
- Experience with position and date based payroll.
- The ability to correctly read and understand modern awards
- Proven analytical skills coupled with high accuracy and attention to detail
- Well developed communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills for liaising with staff, creditors and external bodies
- The capacity to deal with multiple and often conflicting priorities
- Adaptability and flexibility to accommodate change and provide responsive services to meet customers' needs
- Self motivated, creative and passionate approach
- Advanced computing skills and knowledge of financial reporting/payroll packages
