This pivotal role encompasses leading and building a team dedicated to crafting exceptional dining experiences.
Daily tasks will vary, yet as part of the pre-opening team, primary responsibilities include:
* Supporting the Sous Chef and Executive Chef in setting up the department for our first guests and visitors.
* Collaborating with the Executive Chef and Sous Chef to establish your section and area of responsibility; equipment checks, prep lists, and mise en place systems.
* Ensuring stock rotation, portion control, and cleanliness within your section.
* Assisting in menu tastings, plating trials, and recipe documentation for all outlets.
* Producing high-quality dishes during service while maintaining consistency and presentation standards.
* Implementing IHG food-safety systems and HACCP practices as part of daily operations.
* Providing guidance and training to junior team members while fostering a positive, professional kitchen culture.
* Supporting cross-outlet operations, from breakfast buffets and in-room dining to conferences and special events.
