Position Overview
As a Project Manager, you will play a pivotal role in identifying, pursuing, and securing current business opportunities within the engineering consulting sector. This position requires a strategic thinker with a proven track record of successfully managing and closing projects, and a strong aptitude for cultivating and maintaining client relationships.
Responsibilities
- Business Development: Source, negotiate, and facilitate new business.
- Proposal and Contract Management: Create and deliver proposals including scope, fees, and qualifications for public and client RFPs.
- Project Oversight: Guide a team of RWDI consultants toward meeting project objectives by overseeing documentation prepared by the technical team.
- Project Performance: Ensure on-time, high-quality delivery and that client expectations are met or exceeded.
- Financial Management: Track revenue, issue invoices, and recover receivables.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure quality assurances are completed, recorded, and meet company standards and project scope.
- Innovation: Track industry developments to deliver relevant services and innovative deliverables.
- Market Engagement: Identify and engage with current markets, clients, and strategic opportunities to expand RWDI’s service lines.
- Sales Pipeline Ownership: Generate leads, qualify prospects, and convert opportunities into secured projects through targeted outreach and relationship building.
- Strategic Networking: Leverage industry contacts, attend conferences, and participate in events to uncover opportunities and position RWDI as a preferred partner.
- Client-Centric Solution Development: Develop customized, value-driven solutions aligned with RWDI’s capabilities and sustainability vision.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in business development and project management within the engineering consulting sector.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, or related field.
- Understanding of building design and construction processes, codes, standards, and protocols.
- Strong ability to communicate technical concepts to clients.
- Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
- Results-oriented with a track record of meeting and exceeding targets.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Willingness to travel as needed.
