Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Casual Rehabilitation Consultant acting in an Activities of Daily Living (ADL) Assessor capacity with a professional background in Occupational Therapy. The role provides overflow assessment support to our NSW branches, predominantly across Sydney, while enjoying flexibility to manage workload and schedule.
Responsibilities
- Complete ADL assessments.
- Collaborate with injured workers, employers, medical and allied health professionals to provide guidance, recommendations and equipment/service provision.
- Work across schemes such as workers compensation, compulsory third party, life insurance, Comcare, Department of Veteran's Affairs, and employer‑funded schemes.
- Provide high‑quality assessment reports.
- Assess an individual's Personal, Domestic, and Community ADL’s, identifying recommendations for services, support, and/or assistive equipment.
- Conduct equipment trials in person with clients to ensure recommendations are safe, appropriate and promote independence.
- Educate clients and injured workers to complement recommendations for support and/or assistive equipment.
Qualifications
- Tertiary qualification in Occupational Therapy and full registration with AHPRA.
- Previous experience in Occupational Rehabilitation industry highly regarded.
- Robust communication and rapport‑building skills.
- Compassion, kindness and empathetic approach.
- Well‑developed time‑management skills.
- Current NSW Driver’s License and access to own car with comprehensive insurance essential.
