Queensland Rail is looking for a trade‐qualified Boilermaker to join our Rockhampton Rollingstock Maintenance Team on a 12‐month fixed‐term contract, with the possibility of extension for the right candidate.
In this hands‐on role, you will fabricate, weld, and modify components across our rollingstock fleet, contributing directly to the safety and reliability of our operations.
Responsibilities
* Work with other trades and engineers on rollingstock modifications to ensure compliance with QR and industry standards.
* Investigate and repair broken or faulty components on rollingstock.
* Update important records using the computer.
Qualifications
* Metal Fabricator Trade Certificate.
* Prior experience in boiler making or the fabrication industry.
* Willingness to abide by QR safe‐working policies.
* Good communication skills, written and verbal.
