She is a busy surgeon with an earned reputation for excellence, care and compassion. Her strong referral relationships ensure her consulting and surgical schedules are full many weeks/months in advance. Quality and service sit at the heart of her success and she is only getting busier and thus expanding the team to respond to the increased patient demand. The practice consists of three specialists (two surgeons, one physician) supported by approximately 11 support staff. Well resourced to ensure the team are not burned out as they continue to extend their market leading position.
**The Role**
The
**Surgical Patient Coordinator/PA** is a highly valued and key role within the practice. Providing top quality administrative/PA support to the surgeon, it also plays a pivotal role in coordinating surgical bookings and compassionately and professionally leading patients through their treatment journey.
- A range of senior responsibilities include:_
- managing the appointment/consulting schedule (Genie software)
- coordinating patients' surgeries and managing theatre lists
- preparing surgical quotes and coordinating payments and receipts (Eclipse)
- liaising with healthfunds, medicare and other healthcare professionals
- booking anaesthetists and theatre room bookings
- supporting the surgeon with administration in the care of patients
**About You**
Key to your success is your skill and experience as a surgical secretary/PA or similar. Coupled with an unwavering commitment to quality, accuracy and professionalism. You hold yourself to a high standard and enjoy providing a superior level of service not only to your patients, but to your surgeon too. As someone who relishes responsibility, you also appreciate the camaraderie and support of a close knit team and senior management.
**Salary & Benefits**
The salary and benefits on offer are very attractive; circa $38.00 - $40.00 p/h, and negotiable depending on experience and qualifications. Additionally, incredibly flexible work arrangements are offered from part time (3 days per week) to full time over four or five weeks days. Some Work From Home flexibility is also available as is all day street parking - avoiding public transport if that is your preference. Though excellent tram and train options deliver you to the door.
