Senior Industrial Relations Officer
Location: Parramatta. Flexible working arrangements available.
Clerk Grade 9/10 – $129,464 to $142,665 plus superannuation and leave loading.
About The Role
* Lead industrial strategy, give clear advice aligned with government policy and Department priorities.
* Negotiate awards and agreements; represent the Department in tribunals and resolve complex industrial relations matters.
* Draft industrial instruments, reports and briefs; ensure compliance with law and conditions of service.
About You
* Deep IR expertise.
* Navigate complex, sensitive matters with calm judgement.
* Negotiate and produce industrial instruments.
* Influence unions and stakeholders to secure fair outcomes.
* Write sharp briefs, reports and advice with clarity and accuracy.
* Build trusted partnerships across government and the sector.
* Knowledge of and commitment to implementing the Department's Aboriginal Education Policy and upholding the Department's Partnership Agreement with the NSW AECG to ensure quality outcomes for Aboriginal peoples.
Essential Requirements
* Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to the value of public education.
Desired Requirements
* Qualifications in Business, Human Resources, Law, or a related discipline, and/or relevant experience.
