ATC produces and sells high-end architectural building materials, collaborating with Australia’s leading designers and builders. We’re a lean team of around 20 across sales, marketing, operations and production – flat structure, no corporate BS.
We’ve designed a great product, developed a trusted brand, and set up strong working systems. What we need now is stronger operational discipline – driven from the top, embedded through the team, and consistent enough to scale with confidence.
We take the work seriously, not ourselves.
This role may suit an experienced GM/COO, or a high-capability functional leader - Head of Production, Operations Manager etc. - ready to step up to organisation-wide accountability. Don’t get too hung up on the title. Judge the role by the responsibility, authority and scope.
About the role
This is a practical whole-of-business operational leadership position – setting the cadence, holding standards, keeping accountability tight, and continuously improving the way we work.
The role works in direct partnership with the founder. Harry will stay close to product, technical troubleshooting, and key strategic direction. This role keeps the day‑to‑day operating system of the business on rhythm – people, process, priorities, performance and execution.
About the ideal partner
* Proven ability to manage people to agreed standards, processes, and outcomes.
* Strong cadence – running weekly reviews, maintaining scorecards, driving action registers, and following through until issues are closed.
* Disciplined documentation and delivery habits.
* Experience in a process‑intensive environment (manufacturing experience is not a must).
* Commercial literacy – able to assess cost, return, risk, and trade‑offs.
* Ability to build trust and accountability within a team.
* Comfortable having direct conversations when standards slip.
* Capacity to manage a breadth and depth of projects, priorities, and initiatives.
