* Fixed-term to 31/12/25, part-time (28 hours per week), with the possibility of extension.
* $89,663 to $98,556 part time pro rata per annum (HEO6)
* Plus 17% employer superannuation
* Salary packaging options are available
* 20 days family and domestic violence leave available per annum
* 10 days Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultural and ceremonial leave per annum
* 5 weeks annual leave plus Christmas week shutdown, per annum, part time pro rata
* Armidale based role. Flexible or hybrid work arrangements available

About the role
The Student Accessibility and Wellbeing Coordinator provides specialised individual support to students requiring reasonable adjustments to their studies. Working within the Student Accessibility and Wellbeing Office, you will analyse complex medical documentation and engage in sensitive conversations with students to develop Study Access Plans in accordance with the Disability Standards for Education 2005 and relevant anti-discrimination legislation.
Key responsibilities include:
* Developing and managing Study Access Plans for diverse student groups including those with disabilities, health conditions, carers, and others requiring adjustments
* Providing expert advice on reasonable adjustments to students and staff
* Contributing to workshops and information sessions on legislative compliance
* Managing complex and sensitive student information with discretion
* Supporting continuous improvement initiatives within the team
About you
To be successful in this role, you will have:
* A strong background in providing support services to individuals with diverse needs, backed by relevant qualifications or equivalent professional experience
* Natural relationship-building abilities with a thoughtful and empathetic approach to supporting others
* A methodical mindset for reviewing and interpreting complex documentation
* The ability to have challenging conversations with sensitivity and professionalism
* A collaborative approach and commitment to fostering an inclusive learning environment
* Experience using or willingness to learn assistive technologies and digital support tools
* Sound understanding of confidentiality principles and professional boundaries
* The ability to adapt and respond effectively to changing priorities
* A genuine interest in student success and wellbeing
About the Portfolio
The Student Journey portfolio currently has an exciting opportunity for an experienced wellbeing professional to join our collaborative team. Our portfolio encompasses several key departments within Student Services which includes the Student Accessibility and Wellbeing Office, Counselling and Psychological Support, Student Grievance Unit, Student Scholarships and Student Progression and Connect, as well as Library Services, Student Pathways and Student Engagement and Graduation. These departments work together to support student retention, engagement, and transformative personalised student journeys across UNE's diverse student population.
