Our company is currently looking for a Mechanical Engineer with drafting skills and steel manufacturing‐mining equipment industry knowledge who is seeking a long‐term position in a motivated, skilled, and growing team.
Working based at our Bayswater Workshop. You will be part of an experienced, hardworking team of skilled people who consistently deliver quality products and customer service. You will enjoy a variety of projects in a fast‐paced work environment and the opportunity to utilise your knowledge, expertise and organisational skills.
Responsibilities
* Proficiently use Autodesk Inventor Software
* Interpret engineering drawings, documents, specifications, and scopes.
* Conceptual design stages and drafting
* Production of BOMs and manufacturing drawings for the workshop
* Sound knowledge of the AS1554.1.2.3.4.5.6 and other relevant AS such as 4100 & 3992.
* Conduct site measurements.
* Ensuring projects adhere to frameworks and all documentation is maintained appropriately for each project.
* Liaising with internal clients such as engineering, sales and workshop area.
* Participate in multiple projects simultaneously.
* Tender, Estimations and Sales Activities.
Required Skills
* Mechanical Engineering Bachelor (a MUST).
* 3+ years of experience as Mechanical Engineer.
* Previous experience in drafting roles (Desirable).
* Experience with steel manufacturing products and heavy‐duty mining equipment (Desirable).
* Experience using Autodesk Inventor Software (a MUST).
* Ability to Interpret and apply Australian Standards to physical applications.
* Work effectively as part of a team.
* Work autonomously on delegated projects.
* Work to project schedules and meet required deadlines.Excellent planning & organisational skills.
* Proficiency with computer programs such as Autodesk Inventor, Fusion 360, MS Projects, Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook.
