Support Role Description
We are seeking a Support Worker to provide assistance to participants of a safe space. This involves working under the direction of case managers and team leaders to ensure set outcomes are achieved.
* Ensure participants feel comfortable and understand the house rules.
* Assess each participant's safety, reviewing their situation if they are under the influence of drugs/alcohol.
* Provide information about support services available to assist with transitional housing/support.
This role requires relevant vocational qualifications or equivalent experience in community services, social work, mental illness support, drug & alcohol dependency, nursing, or similar fields. A valid driver's licence and first aid certification are also necessary.
Salary and conditions are according to the SCHADS Level 3 award. This is a casual position based in Burnie, Tasmania.
