Position Purpose
The basic goal of maintenance planning and scheduling is avoiding breakdown. The role of the Maintenance Planner is to improve work force productivity and work quality by providing maintenance materials, PM planning and equipment documentation support to maintenance.
This role is offered as a 12-month contract with the possibility of extension/ permanent position after the 12 months.
Areas of Responsibility
- Implementation of Mex database in terms of; database, spare parts database, PM routines and standard jobs
- Maintenance auditing
- Materials Management including 1S review of current maintenance store, spare parts report and set minimum stock and reorder quantities, stocktake of parts, reimagine stores layout, record OEM data against spare parts un Mex, ensure OEM installation and maintenance instructions are reflected in PM's and standard jobs
Qualifications and Experience Required
- Mechanical Trade Qualification preferred.
- High Degree of Proficiency using MEX Maintenance Management Software Required
- Excellent attention to detail and internet search abilities in order to accurately source & identify components
- Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving ability
- Intermediate level of Microsoft Office including Excel and Word
- Time Management, organisational and multi-taking skills
- Ability to show initiative and be proactive
