About The Role
Reporting to the Civil Maintenance Supervisor, the Structures Inspector will provide inspection, condition monitoring and reporting on all civil, structures and assets including bridges, tunnels, culverts, platforms, retaining walls, overhead structures and structure clearance inspections to ensure timely identification of maintenance works.
Key Accountabilities
* Undertake scheduled and unscheduled inspections of designated civil and structural assets.
* Prepare detailed inspection reports and recommend maintenance priorities.
* Provide technical advice to management on asset condition and risks.
* Maintain accurate asset condition records in relevant databases.
* Identify deterioration trends and recommend timely or urgent actions.
* Respond to after‐hours emergencies as required.
* Always prioritise safety and customer outcomes in decision‐making.
* Build strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Key Selection Criteria
* Certificate II in Rail Infrastructure (Cert III desirable)
* Valid Driver's Licence
* Bridge Inspector Level 1 or 2
* TLIB3088 Examine steel structures
* TLIB3087 Examine timber structures
* TLIB3098 Examine concrete/masonry structures
