Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled professional to join our team as an Assistive Technology Specialist. This is an exciting opportunity for a clinician or sales professional to work with cutting-edge assistive technology and make a meaningful difference in people's lives.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and manage light rehab-equipment trials, including powered wheelchairs, manual wheelchairs, power-assist devices, and scripted/custom commodes.
* Provide expert consultancy and support to clients, healthcare professionals, and internal teams on the selection, trial, and supply of assistive technology based on clinical reasoning.
* Build and maintain key-account relationships, managing a portfolio of customers while driving business development and meeting monthly revenue targets.
* Deliver product education and training to clients and healthcare providers, ensuring effective understanding and application of complex rehab equipment.
* Work independently, using exceptional judgment to select and recommend appropriate assistive-technology solutions.
Required Skills and Qualifications
* A qualification in Occupational Therapy or Physiotherapy is highly desirable, with extensive experience in assistive technology and complex rehabilitation equipment.
* Expertise in powered wheelchairs, manual wheelchairs, power-assist devices, and scripted/custom commodes (essential).
* Experience in sales within the healthcare industry (medical devices, pharmaceuticals, consumables) with transferable skills into assistive technology.
* Strong clinical judgment with the ability to assess needs, trial, script, and recommend solutions tailored to individual requirements.
* Excellent business-development skills, with a proven ability to manage key accounts, generate new business, and meet revenue targets.
* Current AHPRA registration (if applicable), with relevant industry experience and qualifications.
* Must hold Australian Permanent Residency or Citizenship.
* Proof of flu and COVID-19 vaccinations, including a booster, or a valid medical exemption.
* Must hold or be willing to obtain a National Criminal Records Check, Working with Children Check, and NDIS Worker Screening Check.
