Role Overview
We are seeking to establish a pool of School Officers for permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2026 school year and up to the end of Term 2, 2026. As the first point of contact in our reception area, successful applicants should demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills, along with experience in delivering high-quality customer service. The ability to prioritise tasks effectively under pressure, maintain exceptional attention to detail, and ensure a high level of accuracy is highly desired. A commitment to teamwork, coupled with self-motivation and initiative, is highly valued. Applicants should also be able to work confidently both independently and under supervision. A sound working knowledge of the Schools Information System, Compass, enrolment processes, fault management, Resource Management billing, Human Resource Management Information System (HRMIS) and Microsoft Office is highly desirable. The role ideally also involves providing financial and administrative support to the Manager Corporate Services. Proficiency in a range of computer applications and software programs will be highly regarded. Candidate Profile

They will be able to engage effectively with students, parents, and the wider community, and show flexibility in transitioning seamlessly between tasks and varied school environments. Be an Australian or New Zealand citizen, permanent resident, or have a valid visa with relevant work rights for the term of the appointment. Obtain a valid Working With Children Check before you start; and Consent to a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check and obtain a current Screening Clearance Number issued by the Department of Education’s Screening Unit before you start. Demonstrated experience in providing effective administrative support with the ability to organise and prioritise tasks effectively. Demonstrated experience in financial processes and procedures, including the handling of debtors, creditors, reconciliations, and /or preparing financial returns. Demonstrated ability in using computers and a range of application software packages, particularly databases, spreadsheets and word processing. Demonstrated good verbal and written communication skills and experience in the application of customer service principles and practices. Demonstrated valuable interpersonal skills and ability to work unsupervised and in a team environment.
