About the Opportunity
We are embarking on our largest investment to date, a new glass factory in Yatala that will recycle up to 200,000 tonnes of Queensland glass each year and produce 1 billion bottles.
With advanced machinery and control systems, we ensure efficient, high-quality production. Located next to our box and can plants, the site will form a beverage container precinct, supporting customers and creating new job opportunities.
What You'll Do
You will work closely with production and engineering to minimize downtime, maintain operational efficiency, and uphold safety and quality standards as a key member of our maintenance team.
Your focus will be on proactive maintenance, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement to support plant performance. You will be responsible for maintaining a range of equipment—from conveyors and furnaces to glass-cutting machines and non-industrial systems.
Key Responsibilities
* Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, and repairs on plant equipment
* Install and upgrade mechanical systems and equipment
* Keep accurate maintenance records in line with quality standards
* Participate in safety training and promote a safe work environment
Requirements
We seek individuals with a recognized trade qualification (Fitter or Machinist) and experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, and bench fitting (grinding, polishing, milling, lathe work).
You should have a strong understanding of safety and quality standards in manufacturing, a high attention to detail, and a commitment to quality. Ability to work independently and as part of a team, and strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across departments.
