Executive Director – Corporate Services
At Armadale, our Corporate Services Directorate enables and supports our thriving community through delivering Financial and Rating Services, Corporate Strategy and Performance, Transformational City Shaping Projects and Customer Experience & Knowledge outcomes.
We’re looking for an inspirational, pragmatic and experienced leader to oversee the City’s corporate functions —guiding them to deliver outcomes which align to our community aspirations.
The scale and variety of work here means that no two days are the same, but with a dedicated team you will work together to meet the challenges of our rapidly growing population.

* A Clear Framework – You will work within the City’s Strategic Community Plan, Corporate Business Plan and Business Area Plans, ensuring our services, projects and capabilities align with long‑term objectives.
* Governance & Accountability – Reporting to the CEO, you’ll provide executive leadership while maintaining good governance, executive level financial oversight and risk management.
* Cross-Functional Leadership – You’ll oversee multi-disciplinary teams ensuring they collaborate seamlessly and work cohesively across the organisation and with external stakeholders.

* Stakeholder Collaboration – You will work closely with Elected Members, community and other stakeholders to secure funding, influence policy, and drive positive outcomes for the City and our community.
* Building Leadership Capability – This is a fast-moving, highly productive environment where you will empower your team to develop and implement sustainable financial outcomes, good governance and quality enabling functional outcomes.
* Strategic Planning, Good Governance & Financial Oversight – You’ll ensure that our processes, projects and service delivery are integrated whilst meeting good governance, financial and risk management requirements.
What We’re Looking For
* Proven strategic leadership of large multi-disciplined teams in the Local Government sector.Experience with leading strategic financial planning and developing high performance teams is essential.
* Tertiary qualifications in Accounting/Commerce and have a valid CA or CPA accreditation
What You Need to Know
A Total Reward Package of between $290,000 - $330,000 per annum is on offer which comprises of base salary, vehicle, superannuation, mobile phone, contribution towards professional membership and Armadale Fitness and Aquatic Centre Membership.
This position will be offered on a Maximum Term contract of up to 5 years.
