About The Role
Danone is seeking an experienced and commercially driven Senior Tax Manager – Oceania to join our DBS (Danone Business Services) team on a 6-month fixed-term contract.
This is a critical role responsible for managing all tax matters across Australia and New Zealand, ensuring compliance, managing risk, and supporting strategic tax initiatives.
Reporting to the DBS Japan & Oceania Lead (with a functional reporting line to the Asia Pacific Tax Director), you will work closely with cross-functional teams and global stakeholders to deliver best-in-class tax governance and execution.
Key Responsibilities
Tax Compliance & Reporting
* Lead external tax compliance and reporting across Oceania entities.
* Manage recurring and annual tax filings, tax payments, and reporting obligations.
* Deliver tax forecasts, provisions, and internal reporting.
Tax Advisory & Planning
* Provide tax advisory support to business units across Australia and New Zealand.
* Lead local tax planning initiatives and manage tax risks.
* Support implementation of global and regional tax projects.
Transfer Pricing (TP)
* Manage TP documentation and ensure compliance with global standards.
* Conduct TP reviews in collaboration with Corporate Tax.
Audit & Stakeholder Management
* Lead tax audits and manage relationships with tax authorities and advisors.
* Act as key interface with internal stakeholders across Finance, Legal, HR, and IT.
Governance & Controls
* Maintain strong tax governance, SOPs, and internal controls (DanGo framework).
* Develop tax position papers and ensure ongoing compliance improvements.
About You
You are a highly capable tax professional who combines strong technical expertise with a proactive and collaborative mindset.
Ideally, you will have
* 10+ years' experience in corporate tax.
* Big 4 experience alongside in-house commercial exposure preferred.
* Strong understanding of tax compliance, reporting, and transfer pricing.
* Professional qualification (CPA, ACCA, or equivalent).
* Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
* Ability to operate in a fast-paced, matrixed environment.
