About the Role Ligare Book Printers is one of Australia’s leading book manufacturing companies, providing high-quality printing and finishing solutions to publishers, businesses, and educational institutions nationwide. As part of our ongoing digital transformation and systems improvement strategy, we are seeking a dedicated ICT Customer Support Officer to provide hands‑on technical and systems support across our production, logistics, and administration departments. The successful candidate will play an integral role in maintaining our internal systems, troubleshooting IT issues, and contributing to process automation and digital workflow enhancements across the business.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide day‑to‑day IT support to internal users across production, logistics, and administration departments.
- Identify, diagnose, and resolve software, hardware, and network‑related issues.
- Maintain and update internal databases and systems for inventory, dispatch, and order management.
- Configure and support dispatch and logistics systems integrated with courier and warehouse platforms.
- Liaise with external IT vendors and service providers to resolve system faults and coordinate upgrades.
- Assist in the development and implementation of digital workflows and automation tools using Excel and Python.
- Monitor network connectivity and perform basic IP, DNS, and device troubleshooting.
- Provide user training and guidance on the use of internal software, data systems, and equipment.
- Ensure data integrity and system reliability through regular checks and maintenance.
- Prepare reports, dashboards, and data extracts to support management decision‑making.
- Apply cybersecurity principles and company protocols to protect data and system access.
- Participate in system improvement initiatives to increase efficiency and user experience.
- Maintain accurate documentation of IT processes, system configurations, and troubleshooting logs.
- Support ongoing business projects requiring ICT input or coordination.
Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- At least 2–3 years of experience in a technical support or ICT systems role.
- Solid troubleshooting and analytical skills with practical experience in user support and system maintenance.
- Proficiency in SQL, Microsoft Excel, and cloud collaboration tools (Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace).
- Familiarity with basic scripting (Python, HTML, CSS) and data workflow optimisation.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills with the ability to work across multiple departments.
