Remuneration and Benefits
Package valued up to $182,461 + incentives (where applicable). Base salary ranges from $101,122 to $160,983, depending on experience, plus leave loading, employer superannuation contribution, recreation and flex leave, travel allowances, the Fitness Passport program, and indemnity insurance coverage.
Key Accountabilities
* Provide counselling and psychological services to students individually and in groups, including brief therapeutic interventions within the scope of training, experience and supervision.
* Implement procedures of the Professional Practice Framework for the NSW School Counselling Service.
* Consult with the principal, school executive, staff and student support services to enhance student learning, wellbeing, and departmental priorities.
* Support the social, emotional and academic development of students and manage complex behavioural needs.
* Administer cognitive, social, emotional and behavioural assessments, report findings, and collaborate to improve learning and wellbeing outcomes.
* Collaborate with learning and support teams, parents, carers, and external agencies to develop appropriate school‐based support.
* Respond to serious incidents as part of a team.
* Refer students and families to external agencies that support student health and wellbeing.
Essential Requirements
* Knowledge and commitment to the Department's Aboriginal Education Policy, Partnership Agreement with NSW AECG Inc. and the Diversity and Inclusion Strategy.
* General or Provisional Psychology Registration with the Psychology Board of Australia.
* Valid and current Working with Children Check (WWCC) clearance – must be NSW.
* Current and valid driver's licence, ability and willingness to travel between work sites.
* Australian citizenship or permanent residency.
