Team and Opportunity
As part of global Network Operations Center (NOC) provides Tier One NOC support. Primary responsibilities include administering, maintaining, monitoring and troubleshooting Vanguard networks.
We are currently looking for Four Engineers. Two to run over usual business hours and two to run over our weekend shift.
* Provides Tier One level network operational support services, including supporting large scale network installations, special projects and perform other related duties as assigned.
* Participates in Major Incident Management activities, identifying network performance issues, failing network components, review firewall for blocks, tracing of network traffic.
* Ability to review and interpret network diagrams, documentations including policies and procedures.
* Complies with Information Technology and Information Security policies and procedures.
* Adds, updates and closes records in the Incident, IT Problem Management, Change Management records. Monitor records to ensure status are accurate and complete and actions are on target.
* Proactively reviews related records to identify requests that may have an impact on the network.
* Identifies opportunities to automate manual system tasks.
* Engages third parties for the maintenance of supported devices.
* Trains and mentor's staff.
Qualifications
* A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems or other fields required. Two to four years related hand on experience or the equivalent combination of education and experience required.
* Network experience with a financial organization is preferred.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Ability to remain calm while multi-tasking and working under pressure in fast-paced environment.
* Intermediate knowledge and experience with the following technologies: Cisco IOS, Nexus OS, Juniper Junos, Cisco ACI, F5 Load Balancing, WAN, DNS, DHCP, IPSEC, and AWS Direct Connect.
* Intermediate experience working with the following platforms: Cisco platforms, Juniper routers, Cisco ASA Firewall, Palo Alto Firewall, Aruba Wireless and F5 Big IP.
* Intermediate knowledge and experience with Apcon and another packet analyzer.
* Experience with Service Now is preferred or similar comparable ITSM tool.
