Central Coast Local Health District (CCLHD) invites suitably trained and experienced medical officers to work on the Central Coast. The Radiology department is a RANZCR level A accredited teaching site that provides effective point‐of‐care multimodality diagnostic and interventional radiology services in a complex clinical environment. The role involves a leadership role in timely delivery of radiology reports for patients at Gosford and Wyong Hospitals and participation in teaching and multidisciplinary team meetings.
Gosford Hospital is the principal referral hospital and a trauma centre for the Central Coast, offering a wide range of inpatient and outpatient services. Wyong Hospital is a recently redeveloped acute major metropolitan hospital providing inpatient, outpatient and emergency services to residents in the northern part of the NSW Central Coast.
What you'll be doing
* Provide quality care to patients in a complex clinical environment.
* Work under appropriate supervision to evaluate, diagnose, treat and consult patients of all ages across inpatient and outpatient settings.
* Be required to work at multiple facilities within the NSW public health system, including Gosford, Wyong, Woy Woy and Long Jetty Hospitals.
* Deliver effective point‐of‐care multimodality diagnostic and interventional radiology services; lead timely delivery of radiology reports for Gosford and Wyong Hospitals; participate in teaching and multidisciplinary team meetings.
* Work full‐time or part‐time as per engagement.
* Hold an MBBS or equivalent, and be currently registered or eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia in an appropriate registration category.
* For an IMG, have specialist assessment by RANZCR as partially comparable and completed at least 3 postgraduate years.
* Demonstrate high levels of communication and interpersonal skills, teamwork, self‐education, and commitment to quality improvement, patient safety and risk management.
* Show ability to work independently within a supervised complex clinical environment, utilizing excellent clinical skills, judgment and expertise.
* Possess time‐management, problem‐solving, excellent verbal and written communication, and computer skills (minimum 30 words per minute).
* Understand how the District is Caring for the Coast and how this role contributes.
