Medical Officers/General Practitioners/Specialists – Virtual Care Centre Job Requisition Number: 14222Date: 20 May 2026Location: SA, AU NT, AU ACT, AU WA, AU Adelaide, SA, AU, 5000 VIC, AU ADELAIDE, SA, AU, 5000 QLD, AU TAS, AUAbout This Opportunity As a Casual Medical Officer, you will be at the forefront of our virtual care delivery model,working remotely from homeanywhere in Australia to manage acute patients while being supported by a highly skilled multidisciplinary team including medical, paramedic, nursing, pharmacy, administration, allied health, and courier services.You will contribute to the delivery of high-quality virtual acute healthcare by:Applying your expertise in the clinical diagnosis, investigation, treatment, and ongoing management of acute conditionsManaging acute presentations in the home, including but not limited to cellulitis, community‐acquired pneumonia, infective exacerbation of COPD, VTE/PE, cardiac failure, and complicated UTICollaborating within a broad multidisciplinary team to deliver holistic, patient‐centred careParticipating in professional development opportunities, mentoring, and ongoing clinical supportBe part of a clinician‐led environment where your expertise, wellbeing, and contribution are genuinely valued.About You You will:Participate in a 7‐day rolling roster, working casual 8‐hour shifts that you opt into between 8:00am and midnightEnjoy flexibility, with no minimum shift commitment required to commenceHold unrestricted specialist registration with AHPRA as a Specialist Medical Practitioner, with a minimum of five years' experience in your specialty areaDemonstrate strong clinical capability in diagnosing, investigating, and treating acute conditions within established clinical governance and risk frameworksBe confident delivering virtual care and interpreting biometric data trends to identify early clinical deteriorationCommunicate effectively with multidisciplinary teams, patients, and their loved onesPossess strong digital literacy and feel comfortable learning and using a range of systems and technologies (full training and ongoing support provided)Maintain a high level of professionalism and demonstrate empathy, inclusivity, and respect when working with people from diverse backgrounds and experiencesBe passionate about improving health equity and supporting vulnerable communitiesHold, or be willing and eligible to obtain, a Working with Children Check and National Police ClearanceEquity & Inclusion We're committed to a workplace where everyone feels safe, supported, and free to be themselves.
