About the role
Envirosmart Group, comparising of Envirosmart Industrial and Everything Water Australia, is seeking a dedicated Maintenance Officer to join our team in Brendale, Queensland. As a full‐time Maintenance Officer, you will be responsible for the upkeep and repair of our industrial facility, ensuring the smooth operation of our critical infrastructure. Your role will be essential in supporting the company's overall objectives and maintaining our high standards of quality and safety. You will be our "Jack of all trades" as well as a trustworthy person to occasionally use our vehicles for a delivery or pick up, if we are short.
What you'll be doing
* Conducting regular inspections and preventative maintenance on a variety of industrial equipment and systems
* Identifying and addressing issues or malfunctions in a timely and efficient manner
* Performing minor repairs and maintenance tasks
* Some clean‐ups and garden maintenance
* Assisting with the assembly of wastewater treatment systems and frames
* Occasional deliveries and pickups
* Maintaining detailed records of all maintenance activities
* Assisting with the implementation of new technologies and systems to improve efficiency and productivity
* Promoting a safe and sustainable work environment by adhering to all health and safety protocols
* Potential growth to assist with local off‐site service work
What we're looking for
* Open car licence and forklift licence is an advantage
* Significant life / work experience with physical fitness and enthusiasm to contribute
* Experience in a similar maintenance or handyperson role, preferably in an industrial or commercial setting
* Experience‐based technical skills and working knowledge of a wide range of maintenance tasks; no trade certification required
* Basic welding and metal assembly ability
* Common sense, problem‐solving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify and resolve issues efficiently
* Commitment to maintaining a safe and organized work environment
* Old‐school strong work ethic and pride in a job well done
