**How will I help?**
As a part of the Consumer Division within Westpac, the purpose of the Business Controls, Monitoring and Remediation (BCM) team is to ensure effective risk management practices across the Division. Within Business Controls, Monitoring and Remediation, the Regulatory Coordination team’s purpose is to manage Divisional regulatory matters and risks associated with regulatory developments.
This is a leadership role in the Regulatory Coordination team within the Consumer Division. You will partner with key senior stakeholders to provide advice on strategic initiatives and programs to reduce risk exposure and ensure compliance to regulatory requirements. Where relevant you will lead Consumer’s response on regulatory and risk matters. It is an expectation of this role that you promote a solid risk culture that embodies our ethics and integrity, balancing commercial and customer needs.
Your responsibilities will be but not limited to:
- Develop, maintain and implement tools, templates and practices to drive continuous uplift in the professionalism and effectiveness of our overall Regulatory Coordination function.
- Play a critical role in understanding themes and the linkages between various regulatory developments, taking ownership of developing house views and internal narratives on these matters.
- Develop relationships with peers across the Group, identifying areas for collaboration and sharing of best practice.
- Provide insightful updates and calls to action where needed to the Head of Regulatory Coordination and other key stakeholders and committees as required.
- Ensure incidents, issues and controls in Juno reflect agreed actions and milestones, including progress reporting of rectification and remediation.

And demonstrate interconnected thinking, using insights and external knowledge to enhance established views on risk interconnectedness and leading coordinated implementation across the end-to-end value chain.
