The Opportunity
We have a newly created opportunity for a Residential Draftsperson to join our growing Design team at Stockland Halcyon's Head Office in Hope Island. This team is dedicated to delivering high-quality homes and exceptional service across our Land Lease Communities – lifestyle villages for over 50s featuring detached homes, clubhouses and recreational facilities.
Your tasks will include:
* Preparing accurate working drawings and construction documentation using Revit and AutoCAD
* Supporting the construction team with plans aligned to build schedules and site requirements
* Collaborating with Engineers, Consultants, Estimators, Supervisors, Marketing, Sales and Development teams
* Maintaining and updating master design libraries to ensure compliance with current construction codes
* Assisting with early-stage site suitability and layout planning for new communities
* Producing construction issue plans (CIP) based on marked-up requests from home specialists
* Visiting project sites quarterly to stay connected with build progress and team needs
To be successful in this role you:
* Are either a recent graduate with a Diploma of Building Design or Bachelor of Architecture, or an experienced Draftsperson looking to grow your career
* Exposure to residential construction or project build processes is a strong advantage
* Have working knowledge of Revit and AutoCAD, with exposure to residential construction
* Understand the National Construction Code and how it applies to drafting and design
* Thrive in a fast-paced environment and enjoy procedural, detail-oriented work
* Are a problem solver who can adapt to changing project needs and collaborate across teams
