The Principal invites applications from experienced and passionate cooks for the following position within our highly acclaimed school Canteen called The Bake House:
School Canteen Chef/Cook (Great Work/Life Balance)
Monday to Friday 7.00am to 3.00pm during school term-time
Commencing Term 1 2026
We seek an experienced and passionate Chef/Cook with:
- Proven experience working in hospitality or a relevant food preparation role.
- Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of relevant legislation, guidelines and procedures relevant to the safe handling of food.
- The ability to effectively work in a fast-paced food preparation environment and flexible to work outside of normal operating hours from time to time as required.
- A positive, energetic and cooperative contributor to a highly successful team in providing food services to students and staff.
- Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills.
- Upholds high standards of professional conduct, integrity, and teamwork.
- Is committed to supporting student wellbeing and Child Safe standards.
- Has a Certificate III or IV in Commercial Cookery or Hospitality.
- Has a current Qld Blue Card (Working with Children).
