ROLE IN A NUTSHELL
As Head of Retail, you'll take ownership of the performance, profitability and customer experience across Elka Collective's national store network. Leading a team of Area, Multi Site and Store Managers, you'll be responsible for shaping the retail vision, driving commercial outcomes, building high‐performing teams and ensuring every store delivers an elevated and consistent brand experience.
This 13‐month fixed‐term contract offers the opportunity to make a genuine impact across the business, partnering closely with senior leaders to influence growth strategies, optimise retail performance and continue strengthening Elka Collective's position within the premium fashion market.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
* Shape and execute Elka Collective's retail strategy, identifying opportunities to drive growth, strengthen market position and support the brand's long‐term success
* Lead the commercial performance of the national store network, taking ownership of sales, profitability, productivity and key retail performance metrics
* Partner with senior stakeholders across Marketing, Finance, Property, Visual Merchandising and People & Culture to deliver aligned business and brand outcomes
* Lead and develop a high‐performing retail leadership team, fostering a culture of accountability, engagement, inclusion and continuous improvement
* Champion an elevated customer experience and ensure consistent brand execution across all stores, customer touchpoints and retail environments
* Drive operational excellence through improvements in retail systems, processes and technology, including workforce planning, inventory management and emerging AI‐enabled solutions.
* Support network growth initiatives including new store opportunities, refurbishments, lease strategy and long‐term retail planning
* Build future capability through leadership development, succession planning, talent identification and team engagement initiatives
ABOUT YOU
* Significant senior retail leadership experience within fashion, lifestyle or specialty retail environments
* Proven success leading large multi‐site retail networks and delivering strong commercial outcomes across sales, profitability and operational performance
* Strong commercial and financial acumen, with experience managing retail budgets, performance metrics and business growth strategies
* A strategic thinker who can translate vision into action, identify opportunities and make data‐informed decisions that drive results
* Passionate about customer experience, brand building and delivering exceptional retail execution
* An inspiring people leader with a strong track record of developing leaders, building high‐performing teams and creating positive team cultures
* Outstanding stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence across all levels of the business
* Experience operating within omnichannel retail environments and a genuine interest in innovation, technology and the future of retail
