Role Overview
Glencore is committed to providing an environment that adheres to the Respect at Work Legislation. The Assistant Surveyor role reports to the Senior Mine Surveyor and will offer variety and opportunity. The role is residential in Mudgee with a Monday - Friday roster.
Responsibilities
* The safe provision of surveying support to a range of activities typical to a large coal mining operation in conjunction with and under the oversight of the Registered Mine Surveyor.
* Providing support for production, statutory plans, and civil and structural projects.
* Maintaining a sound working knowledge of the legislation and standards relevant to your role.
* Timely provision of end of month reporting, including surveys, stockpiles, volumes and reconciliations.
Qualifications
* Previous experience in the industry is highly desirable.
* Proficient user of Microsoft Excel, Deswik CAD (or Vulcan), Pix4D and Maptek PointStudio highly desirable.
* Proficiency in using Maptek Isite Scanners, Leica GPS and total stations desirable.
* Remote pilot licence with AROC certification and experience with multi-rotor DJI RPA/UAV surveys desirable.
* Highly motivated, have a strong work ethic and demonstrate safe work behaviour.
