About the Role
We are currently seeking a Senior Paediatric Speech Pathologist for a full‐time (or part‐time 0.8 FTE) position. The successful candidate will manage a caseload of children and youth aged 0‐9 years who may be demonstrating delays or difficulties with speech, language, feeding and social skills. You will deliver a broad range of evidence‐informed intervention strategies, standardised assessments and parent training to increase communication and active participation in social and educational settings.
Responsibilities
* Deliver evidence‐informed intervention strategies, standardised assessments and parent training.
* Conduct face‐to‐face consultations and relationship building in natural environments, schools, kindergartens, modern office facilities and therapy spaces.
* Liaise and collaborate with a trans‐disciplinary team to design and deliver comprehensive support plans.
* Provide key worker support and advice to families and children regarding speaking, listening, understanding language, fluency and social skills.
* Deliver discipline‐specific assessment and intervention to children aged 0‐9 years and their families with a range of disabilities.
Key Selection Criteria
* Tertiary qualifications in Speech Pathology and current registration with Speech Pathology Australia.
* Minimum 3 years of experience managing, supervising and leading staff.
* Minimum 5 years of discipline‐specific clinical experience with sound theoretical knowledge in paediatric practice, supporting children with developmental delay, autism and other presentations.
* Ability to meet service delivery requirements of 4 hours per day and provide a consumer‐focused, high‐quality responsive service.
* Knowledge and experience assessing children from 0‐9 years with a variety of clinical and developmental needs.
* Knowledge and experience prescribing assistive technology.
* Willingness to obtain Medicare Provider Registration.
* Proficiency in the use of ICT for service delivery (e.g., telehealth), case documentation and online learning modules.
* Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and support others to meet their KPIs.
* Ability to build trusting working relationships with children, families and the Early Intervention and Therapy Service team.
* Open to continuous quality improvement and ongoing learning as part of a high‐performing team.
* Commitment to promoting and supporting inclusive, culturally responsive, safe and accessible practice.
* Willingness to undertake relevant pre‐employment screening and checks, including NDIS worker screening, Police Check, Pre‐Employment Medical and Working with Children's Check.
* Right to work in Australia (e.g., citizen, permanent resident or visa holder with full working rights).
