Family Lawyer - Senior Associate / Special Counsel
Village Family Lawyers is a progressive boutique family law practice located in Malvern and Mount Eliza, Victoria. We are looking for a passionate family lawyer (Senior Associate/Special Counsel) with a minimum of 5 years post‐admission family law experience for either office. The role is primarily full‐time but substantial part‐time and hybrid models will be considered.
Responsibilities
Provide high‐quality family law services including complex parenting and financial/property matters, maintenance applications, divorce and Intervention Orders, representation in Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia, court appearances, instructing counsel and precise legal drafting.

* Precise legal drafting skills
* Commercial and resolution focused mindset
* Willingness to mentor less experienced practitioners
* Competence with cloud‐based practice management software (e.g., Smokeball)
* Attention to detail and deadline management
* Interest in networking with allied professionals
* Post‐graduate qualifications such as LIV Specialist Accreditation in Family Law or Master of Laws (Family Law) are highly regarded
