This is a rare opportunity to step into a busy, well-supported practice working on high-quality energy and resources transactions, including critical minerals, oil & gas, and broader corporate M&A matters.
The role offers genuine responsibility early, direct exposure to senior lawyers and partners, and the chance to build depth in one of Australia's most active transactional sectors.
The Role
* Work across a mix of M&A, joint ventures, and strategic investments in energy and resources
* Advise on critical minerals transactions, including acquisitions, royalties, and financing arrangements
* Support both private and public M&A across complex, high-value mandates
* Assist with commercial contracting and regulatory aspects of major projects

* Well-established Corporate M&A and Capital Markets practice with strong deal flow
* Collaborative national team working across major energy and resources matters
* Close-knit Brisbane group with direct access to senior lawyers and partners
* Strong internal support across BD, knowledge, and practice operations

About You
* Experienced Corporate Lawyer from a top‐tier, national, or specialist firm
* Strong grounding in corporate M&A (private and/or public transactions)
* Exposure to energy and resources work is highly regarded
* Comfortable managing matters and supporting junior lawyers
* Strong communicator with a proactive, commercial mindset
* Oil & gas or resources sector transaction experience
* Exposure to joint ventures or project development work
* Experience in fast‐paced, deal‐heavy environments
