About this Position

We have an exciting opportunity for a Project Manager to join our Roads and Infrastructure team. The primary function of this role is managing assigned civil infrastructure projects from inception to completion, ensuring delivery within agreed timeframes, budgets, and quality standards. This includes planning, design coordination, stakeholder engagement, procurement, construction oversight, and project close‐out. The role contributes to the long‐term development of Council's infrastructure assets and supports strategic priorities through effective project governance and delivery.

Responsibilities

* Manage civil infrastructure projects end to end, defining scope, objectives, timelines, risks, and ensuring delivery to required time, cost, quality, and scope standards.
* Use established project management systems and methodologies to ensure technically feasible, on budget, low risk project execution.
* Oversee investigations, surveys, and all design stages; ensure designs comply with Council standards, engineering codes, and Australian/International Standards; review and certify consultant/contractor designs.
* Manage approvals, permits, and legislative obligations; review REF; implement environmental and WHS management plans in line with applicable Acts and Regulations.
* Manage tendering, contract documentation, assessments, and engagement of consultants/contractors; act as or oversee the Superintendent role; maintain supplier performance and records.
* Liaise with internal teams, authorities, community groups, and the public; manage enquiries and complaints; maintain project documentation and provide performance, risk, and benefits reporting.
* Identify and mitigate project risks; implement and continuously improve quality management systems across roads and infrastructure projects.
* Apply advanced problem‐solving skills to resolve technical and operational challenges, ensuring alignment with organisational and engineering objectives.

Requirements

* Tertiary qualifications in Civil Engineering, Project Management, or related discipline.
* Minimum 5 years' experience in civil infrastructure project management.
* Demonstrated experience in managing civil design, construction, and contract administration.
* Current Class C Driver's Licence.
* General Construction Induction Card (White Card).

Contract Details

Full‐time contract: 70 hours across a 9‐day fortnight.

Salary: Annual salary range from $108,560, subject to market allowance + superannuation.
