Education Support Officer - Nursing & Health Care Services
Location: St George, Kogarah Campus
Employment type: Permanent Part Time – 21 hours per week
Salary package: $96,098 – includes base salary ($84,666), plus employer's contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading (paid pro‐rata)
About the Role
We are seeking an Education Support Officer (ESO) to join our Nursing and Health Care Services team at the St George, Kogarah Campus. In this student‐focused role, you will work closely with teachers to support the delivery of high‐quality vocational education and enhance the student learning experience.
Key responsibilities include:
* Providing targeted learning support to help students understand course content, build skills, and stay engaged across face‐to‐face, online, and blended environments.
* Coordinating student clinical placements, collating student documentation and liaising with hospitals to support placement outcomes.
* Occasional travel to the Randwick campus may be required.
NOTE: This role does not teach or prepare lessons or resources and does not deliver training, nor undertake assessment.
About you
You are supportive, proactive and passionate about helping others succeed. A background in nursing enables you to clearly explain concepts to learners from diverse backgrounds.
Selection criteria:
* Diploma (or above) in Nursing with a current AHPRA registration.
* Ability to understand the content of the learning materials and the processes used in the discipline.
* High‐level interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to be proactive, show initiative and explain ideas in a clear and concise manner.
* Commitment and ability to support learning in an adult environment and a demonstrated ability to motivate and encourage students.
* Ability to establish effective working relationships with people from a diverse range of backgrounds and to provide quality customer service as part of a broader team.
* Skills in the use of relevant information and communication technologies.
