Join NSW Health as an Aftercare Clinical Lead at Redfern Health Centre. This temporary full‑time role (38 hours per week) will end in June 2026, with the potential for ongoing employment.

Sydney Local Health District’s Community Health Centres have a long and proud history of delivering care in the community. The Aftercare Clinical Lead will provide district‑wide leadership for the integration and coordination of aftercare services, including the Way Back NSW Aftercare Service. This service provides community‑based, assertive psychosocial support for people following a suicide attempt or suicidal crisis who have been referred from an acute care or community mental health setting. The Lead will plan and implement strategies to enhance service visibility, coordinate referral pathways, and play a lead role in clinical and operational governance in line with NSW Health and SLHD policies, procedures and standards.

Ideal Candidate
- Current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse with at least 5 years full‑time equivalent post‑registration experience, including a minimum of 3 years in the specialty field, an appropriate clinical postgraduate qualification, and/or relevant experience. Psychologists or Allied Health Professionals must hold current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (if applicable) and/or be eligible for membership of a relevant professional association. Clinical Psychologists must have a postgraduate qualification and endorsement in clinical psychology. Current NSW driver’s licence (P1 or P2 accepted).
- Advanced knowledge and clinical experience working with people experiencing suicidal crisis, with an applied understanding of contemporary approaches to suicide prevention and service delivery models.
- Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to recovery‑oriented, trauma‑informed services and co‑design of health service improvement.
