Electrical Tradesperson Job Description
The position of day shift Electrical Tradesperson is located at the Sydney International Container Terminal at Botany, reporting to a senior maintenance manager. The role involves performing routine maintenance including scheduled servicing, breakdowns and fault finding on fixed and mobile equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Ensure scheduled servicing, breakdowns, fault finding and planned maintenance duties are carried out in a timely, safe and efficient manner, in accordance with relevant policies and procedures.
* Carry out inspections and preventative maintenance tasks on all equipment.
* Liaise with Shift Coordinator, Maintenance Manager, Engineers and Managers as required.
* Identify, communicate and eliminate lost time caused by equipment issues.
* Communicate important maintenance information in a timely and effective manner to management and the wider team.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Relevant and valid Electrical Trade Certificate and Electric license in NSW are essential. Relevant post-trade qualification in Industrial Electronics, Electrotechnology, and/or PLCs and SCADA are also preferred. Experience with fixed and mobile equipment (e.g., cranes, reach stackers) and proven working knowledge of PLCs, namely fault finding and interrogation, are necessary.
Proven experience with High Voltage systems, electrical fault finding experience with automated equipment used in an industrial environment, and experience in maintaining site service systems such as lighting, emergency systems are also required.
