**About our role**:
An exciting opportunity currently exists for a highly motivated National Account Manager (NAM) to join our Woolworths team. Reporting to the National Business Manager - Woolworths and based at our head office in Mentone, Melbourne you will be responsible for partnering with, managing and driving growth of our Woolworths partnership to achieve targets for profitable growth and equity for Simplot brands and products.
**What you will do**:
As the NAM for Woolworths, you will manage all retail sales activities including business & joint category planning with the customer, whilst also partnering with our category, insights & revenue management teams to generate new business opportunities through NPD, activation and pricing & mechanic initiatives
You will be an active participant in the cross functional category team to develop an aligned channel strategy and initiatives that will deliver sustainable growth in areas such as sales, distribution and market share for both Simplot and the customer
Additional responsibilities include:
- Delivery of annual budget through ongoing evaluation of sales performance, and making necessary corrections to improve sales profitability
- Managing the product mix to achieve required financial targets
- Ownership of the category / customer P&L
- Ownership of the 0-12 month forecast and ensure baseline and promotional biases are reviewed and corrected
- Building and managing internal and external partnerships to ensure delivery of Category service account objectives
- Actively involved in setting strategy for the Woolworths team through the development of a robust Commercial Operational Plan, and implemented through Joint Customer Plans
- Accountable for trade engagement and source trade input of NPI
**About you**:
To be successful in this role you will have experience in a National Account Management role, ideally working with a major retailer or come from a Category Management role within an FMCG, Foodservice or Food Manufacturing company. Alternatively, we are open to a National Account Executive looking for the next step up in their career. You will demonstrate a thorough understanding of marketing principles and the ability to build cross functional relationships combined with an aptitude for understanding and analysing detailed financial information and reports. Tertiary qualifications in business or a related discipline will be highly regarded.
Importantly you will be an expert communicator, who is authentic and can bring stories to life and connect people. You will use your strong influencing and negotiation skills to efficiently deliver retail objectives to meet customer requirements within timeframes and budget.
