MATERNITY AND FAMILY SERVICES MANAGER

Make a real impact on Maternal and Child health and lead a passionate team delivering culturally safe care to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families across the Fraser Coast.
WHAT WE DO:
Galangoor works with the local Indigenous community and relevant key stakeholders to increase access to culturally safe, quality, coordinated and comprehensive primary health care services. We focus on healthcare across the life span, including the management and reduction of chronic disease, to address the health and social inequities of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities of the Fraser Coast Region.
THE POSITION:
As Maternity and Family Services Manager, you will lead and supervise the Daga-Mi on Butchulla Country team, ensuring integrated, culturally secure maternal and infant care across our clinics. You will work closely with Primary Health Care Managers, Regional Services Manager, and Health Services Manager to deliver high-quality services for mothers, babies, and families.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic leadership for maternity services, infant health programs and staff.
- Oversee service planning, delivery, and improvement initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and clinical governance.
- Manage workforce planning, recruitment, and partnerships.
- Promote culturally safe practices and community engagement.
KEY REQUIREMENTS:
1. Registered Nurse/Midwife qualifications with current AHPRA registration.
2. Demonstrated leadership experience in maternity or family health services.
3. Strong understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health needs.
4. Excellent communication, planning, and problem-solving skills.
Mandatory Qualifications/Professional Registrations and Licences:
- Qualified Nurse with current unconditional registration with AHPRA Registration, or Diploma or equivalent in Business Leadership and Management
- Current C Class Drivers Licence (QLD)
- Current Blue Card
- Current annual CPR Certificate
- Current First Aid Certificate (every three years)

WHAT WE ARE OFFERING:
Salary Package
- Competitive base salary + super + salary sacrifice + annual leave
- Clinic Days are Monday – Friday
- Rostered 7.6 hours between the hours of 8 am to 6 pm.
- No after hours or on-call
- Occasional attendance at community events may be out of hours or on the weekend
