Backend Web Developer

Location: Adelaide-based (Hybrid)
Commitment: 5–8 hours/week
About the Role
We're excited to open a new volunteer opportunity within CLCN's IT Team As a Backend Web Developer, you will support the development of our ERP and HRIS systems, critical tools used across multiple departments. You will work on backend logic, system integrations, code refinement, and overall improvement of system performance. This opportunity is ideal for someone looking to gain real project experience, build their portfolio, and contribute to meaningful, organisation-wide impact.
Key Responsibilities
As a
Backend Web Developer
, you will:
* Develop Backend Components
: Build and test backend logic modules based on drafted project requirements.
* Integrate Systems and Databases
: Connect backend components with APIs, databases, and internal systems to enable smooth data flow.
* Maintain and Improve Codebase
: Review, refine, and document code to ensure performance, readability, and ongoing maintainability.
* Collaborate with IT and Cross-Functional Teams
: Work closely with the ERP Project Lead, IT Team, and other departments to deliver IT project outcomes.
* Contribute to System Enhancements
: Identify areas for improvement and support continuous upgrades to ERP and HRIS functionality.
Who We Are Looking For?

* Familiar with REST APIs, React,, SQL, and Docker.
* Able to write clean, maintainable code and troubleshoot issues.
