We are an established and growing public accounting practice serving a broad range of clients across tax compliance, trust and corporate accounting, and business advisory. We pride ourselves on delivering high-quality, personalised service and are looking for an experienced senior accountant to join our close-knit team.
The Role
Reporting directly to the Principal, you will manage a diverse client portfolio and play a key role in the day-to-day delivery of compliance and advisory services. This is a hands‐on position that offers variety, autonomy, and the opportunity to contribute to the continued growth of the practice.
Key Responsibilities
* Preparation and review of income tax returns for individuals, companies, trusts, and partnerships
* Preparation of financial statements and management accounts
* Trust and corporate accounting, including distribution resolutions and corporate secretarial duties
* BAS, IAS, and payroll tax lodgements
* Client liaison — building and maintaining strong relationships
* Mentoring and reviewing the work of junior staff
* Assisting with tax planning, structuring advice, and ad hoc client queries
What We're Looking For
* IPA, CPA or CA qualified (or working towards completion)
* Minimum 4–5 years' experience in a public accounting practice
* Proficiency in Xero, MYOB, Karbon and APS / Access practice management software
* Working knowledge level proficiency required across all specified software systems
* Strong working knowledge of Australian tax legislation and compliance requirements
* Excellent attention to detail and time management skills
* A client‐focused approach with strong written and verbal communication skills
* Ability to work autonomously and as part of a collaborative team
