The Clinical Specialist is responsible for assisting surgeons in and out of theatre with Corin products. The support provided includes advice on the correct surgical technique for Corin products, providing training to theatre staff where required and checking surgical instrument sets prior to the commencement of cases.All aspects of the role must be compliant with the companies’ policies and procedures including the Information Security Management System and the ISO 27001standard and the Quality Management System and ISO13485 Standard.Key Responsibilities:Provide assistance during operations to scrub personnel and to surgeons, whilst dealing with any product/theatre queries which may ariseGain excellent knowledge of Corin Products, competitors and the Orthopaedic marketBe available to theatre manager to follow up any potential problems that may occur with the supplying and collecting of instrumentsProvision of clinical support and case coverAudit consignment instruments and implants to ensure they are in good working order and implants stocks correct for level of usage with no missing stockReview surgeon booking lists against stock and instrument loan sets supplied for cases attendedAttend surgical cases when required by weekend roster or in accordance with on-call policyActively participate in training/ workshops and review appropriate surgical techniques.Study relevant clinical articles & data to build knowledge base and provide relevant advice to customers & staff.The Statements made in the job description are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by people assigned to this job.
