The Hunter New England Centre for Gynaecological Cancer provides specialist, coordinated care for women with gynaecological cancers at John Hunter Hospital. This centre is a collaborative partnership between John Hunter Hospital and Calvary Mater Hospital, delivering a multidisciplinary approach to investigation and treatment. We are seeking an experienced and motivated Health Data Manager to lead the strategic collection, management, analysis, and reporting of clinical and research data within the Maternity & Gynaecology Service, with a strong focus on gynaecological cancers and general gynaecology services. In this pivotal role, you will ensure the integrity, completeness, and compliance of data in support of clinical care, service planning, research, and quality improvement initiatives. Your work will help drive informed decision-making, support patient outcomes, and contribute to the continued excellence of the Centre's clinical and research programs.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and oversee the collection, management, and validation of gynaecology and gynae-oncology data.
Analyse and interpret clinical data to support service planning, research, and quality improvement.
Maintain compliance with data governance, privacy, and ethical standards.
Develop reports and dashboards for clinical teams, researchers, and health service managers.
Provide training, guidance, and mentorship to staff in data management and reporting.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary clinical, administrative, and research teams.
