We offer a range of employment benefits to support our staff, which may include: Rostered days off Salary packaging The Opportunity We have an opportunity for a passionate individual to coordinate, deliver, support and administer educational programs and grant activities to change stakeholder behaviours to achieve strategic waste outcomes, including greater waste diversion through reuse and resource recovery, and total waste reduction.
As a Waste Behaviour Change and Education Officer, you will design, prioritise and implement a rolling three year program of waste behaviour change activities centred on the waste hierarchy and based on community based social marketing principles.
You will assist in the development of strategic communication materials in collaboration with the BVSC Communications and Waste teams, and work with various stakeholders to reduce contamination in kerbside waste collection.
Responsibilities Coordinate, deliver, support and administer educational programs and grant activities to change stakeholder behaviours.
Design and implement a rolling three year program of waste behaviour change activities centred on the waste hierarchy.
Assist in the development of strategic communication materials in collaboration with the Communications and Waste teams.
Work with various stakeholders to reduce contamination in kerbside waste collection.
Qualifications & Experience Minimum diploma level qualification in Communications, Change Management, Project Management, Education & Training Delivery, or Sustainability & Environmental Sciences.
Highly advanced written and verbal communications skills, including the ability to liaise effectively with internal and external stakeholders, including the media.

Demonstrated experience in delivering behaviour change projects.
Demonstrated experience in engaging with the community.
Three (3) years recent and relevant work experience.
Optional: Experience working in local government, waste services, or other specialist training or work experience.
Valid NSW Class C Driver's Licence.
Additional Skills, Knowledge and Qualifications Experience in local government or waste services.
Specialist training or work experience relevant to the role.
Remuneration and Benefits This role may be offered as a permanent full time position working 35 hours per week commencing February ****.
