Remuneration : $56.69 – $58.52 per hour.

Speech Pathologist – Make a Lasting Impact in Rural Healthcare. Join a rural, multidisciplinary team to provide high‑quality evidence‑based clinical speech‑therapy assessment and therapy to children aged 4 and above on community health waiting lists and support the development of paediatric skills within generalist Speech Pathologists.

What You'll Be Doing

* Provide health and development check screening services aligned with the Brighter Beginnings Initiative, a collaboration between NSW Health and NSW Department of Education to provide early identification and intervention pathways to children in the year before school.
* Provide high‑quality evidence‑based clinical speech‑therapy assessment and therapy to children aged 4 and above on community health waiting lists.
* Support and develop paediatric skills and knowledge for generalist Speech Pathologists in the district.


Selection Criteria

* Tertiary degree in speech pathology (or equivalent) with eligibility for practicing membership of Speech Pathology Australia.
* Demonstrated, recent and relevant experience in paediatric clinical practice, including assessment and intervention with preschool and school‑aged children, group work skills, and case management in the community health setting.
* Excellent negotiation, decision‑making and advocacy skills including collaborative stakeholder consultation.
* Demonstrated high‑level verbal and written communication skills, time management and computer literacy, and ability to analyse, interpret and implement evidence‑based practice.
* Demonstrated experience providing clinical supervision to staff and/or students.
* Demonstrated experience in the design, delivery and evaluation of paediatric education sessions to a variety of groups.
* Demonstrated experience participating in the planning, implementation and evaluation of local service delivery incorporating the quality improvement process and evidence‑based practice.
* Current unrestricted driver's licence and the ability to maintain. Willingness to drive/travel as required, including long distances and overnight stays.
