What You'll Be Doing
Our Chairperson will lead our experienced Management Committee, ensuring effective governance and strategic direction of HRFC. Our Chairperson will help HRFC meet its legal, constitutional, and financial obligations. If you're up for the challenge, you will be supported by our amazing Centre Development Manager and team, and our enthusiastic and motivated Management Committee. You'll be promoting HRFC’s vision of supporting an inclusive, connected, and engaged community.

Hudson Road Family Centre has been the Hub of the Withers community for over 30 years. We are home base for a large number of community groups and organisations. We provide a range of innovative and inclusive programs for our community, including culturally inclusive playgroups, craft and social activities, faith and cultural groups, mental health and wellbeing activities. As Chairperson, you will be part of the team that continues to build a strong and welcoming centre for our community.

About You
As Chairperson you will have the skills to:
* Prepare and chair Management Committee meetings, Annual General Meetings, and Special General Meetings as required.
* Facilitate respectful participation by all committee members, ensure efficient, orderly decision-making and lead meetings that follow constitutional requirements.
* Lead the Management Committee in setting strategic direction, supporting financial management and acting as a spokesperson for HRFC.
* Our Chairperson will have previous experience on Management Boards and a sound understanding of the community services sector.
