Sessional Supervisor – Maitland / Muswellbrook & Tamworth YJ Community Office
Position type: Casual (Clerk Grade 2)
Hourly rates: Weekday $46.89, Saturday $61.16, Sunday $71.36, plus superannuation contribution.
Role Overview
As the Sessional Supervisor you will directly supervise young offenders on Community Service Orders (CSO's) imposed by the courts and assist with case management, ensuring appropriate and timely implementation and successful completion.
What You'll Do
* Induct young people into all aspects of community service work including WH&S.
* Visit community organisations to supervise/monitor young people on Community Service Orders (CSO's).
* Transport young people, as required, for community service work; advise the supervising officer of any breakdown, failure or problem with CSO equipment or vehicle and of any WH&S concerns.
* Document incidents, advise management accordingly and seek instruction.
* Obtain client information, keep records of client hours worked and performance of young people on CSO's, maintain confidentiality of information regarding any young person supervised by the agency.
* Report on a weekly, or other negotiated timeframe, on performance/attendance/participation in work of CSO clients.
* Encourage and support young people in the performance and completion of CSO's.
* Clerical and administrative tasks in relation to CSO's.
* Direct young people to work, or excuse them from work, in accordance with CSO's as required.
What We're Looking For
* Possession of "Provide First Aid" (HLTAID0011) or equivalent.
* Current NSW Driver's Licence.
* Current NSW Working with Children Check clearance.
