About the role This is a specialised, high-impact contract role responsible for the end-to-end migration of our core digital assets and the setup of recent customer relationship and sales automation workflows. The primary objective is to successfully migrate our website from an old Word Press build to Wix while preserving and optimising our high-value SEO rankings (e.g., "Gold Coast wedding venues"). The role also involves advising on, and potentially implementing, a new, guest-friendly booking/invoicing system for our hybrid accommodation and events business.
The main purpose of this role is to take the existing digital operations (website, customer tracking, booking) and make them more modern, easier to use, and better at bringing in customers and making sales.
Primary Tasks
- Website Migration & SEO Integrity:
- Plan, execute, and manage the migration of all website content from Word Press to Wix.
- Implement a comprehensive SEO migration strategy, including 301 redirects, metadata preservation, and sitemap updates to maintain and improve the current "Gold Coast wedding venues" ranking.
- Build a clean, modern, and highly user-friendly website on the Wix platform.
- Lead Capture & Workflow Automation:
- Set up and optimise Ivory forms and integrate them with the new backend/CRM foundation.
- Design and build robust CRM and community foundation structures to manage leads, clients, and guests.
- Develop and implement multi-stage EDM (Email Direct Marketing) flows and inquiry automations to nurture leads and support conversion.
- Booking System Advisory & Strategy:
- Review the current use of Newbook for accommodation and events, specifically focusing on its clunky invoicing and guest-facing experience.
- Provide expert guidance and a clear recommendation on whether to optimise the existing Newbook setup or conduct a gap analysis and explore better-integrated alternatives.
- Advise on solutions that streamline invoicing and provide a seamless guest experience for a hybrid accommodation/events venue.
Required Experience
- Proven success in SEO migration projects, specifically moving high-value domains/keywords between platforms (e.g., Word Press to Wix/similar).
- Demonstrable experience building and launching commercial websites on the Wix platform, with a focus on UX/UI best practices.
- Strong background in setting up and configuring CRM systems and backend automation workflows for lead management (including form-to-CRM integration and sales funnel automation).
- Experience in EDM/marketing automation setup (drip campaigns, welcome sequences, abandoned inquiry nurture).
- High level spoken, written and comprehension for clear, professional communication with internal stakeholders and external system providers.
Nice to have experience
- Direct experience with Newbook for accommodation and/or event management.
- Experience with other integrated Property Management Systems (PMS) or Event Management Software (EMS) such as Cloudbeds, Mews, Checkfront, or Bookinglayer that manage both events and accommodation.
- Prior experience in the hospitality, events, or wedding venue industry, understanding the unique client journey.
- Familiarity with the Ivory forms system and its integration capabilities.
Required Education
- Formal qualification is less critical than demonstrated experience. A degree in Marketing, Information Technology, Digital Communications, or a related field is beneficial.
- Certifications/coursework in SEO, Google Analytics, CRM Administration, or Platform Migration is highly valued.
Required Software/Systems
- Wix (Expert proficiency in site build and administration)
- Word Press (Working knowledge for current site audit and content extraction)
- SEO Tools (e.g., Google Search Console, Google Analytics, SEMrush/Ahrefs)
- CRM/Marketing Automation Platforms (e.g., Active Campaign, Hub Spot, Salesforce, etc.)
- Email Marketing/EDM Platforms
Nice to have Software/Systems
