Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for Fibreglass Technicians based in Toowoomba, QLD. The technician will be responsible for the manufacturing, repair, and maintenance of fiberglass components for liquid tankers and associated equipment. We also ctaer for design and manufacturing of Moulds for various other product applications within the composite industry. Key tasks include preparing molds, cutting, layering fibreglass materials, applying resins, sanding, finishing components, and ensuring quality standards. Collaboration with the production team and adherence to safety regulations are integral to this role.
Qualifications
* Experience with fiberglass handling, molding, and manufacturing processes
* Proficiency in detailed work such as cutting, lamination, sanding, and finishing surfaces
* Knowledge of workplace safety standards and handling hazardous materials
* Problem-solving skills with attention to detail and the ability to follow technical specifications
* Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
* Capability to operate hand tools, power tools, and fiberglass-specific equipment
* A background in composite materials or practical experience in a similar industry is required.
* Confined Space qualifiction will be required.
* Formal qualifications in materials technology or a related field are a plus but not mandatory
